What is a Chiropractic Orthopedist?

To do so, we utilize a wide variety of drug-free and surgery-free treatments tailored to your particular diagnosis, and based on the most current available research. As a result, patients with differing health conditions have many treatment options available to them.
A chiropractic orthopedist is a chiropractic physician who has completed post graduate training leading towards board certification as a chiropractic orthopedic specialist. Upon completion of the 3-4 year postgraduate program the board eligible chiropractic orthopedist must pass both written and clinical examinations demonstrating expertise consistent with an orthopedic specialist. The chiropractic orthopedist treats musculoskeletal injuries in a non-surgical manner and provides non-surgical treatment options; such as manual therapy, massage, ultrasound, electrical muscle therapy, exercise programs and more, for relief of joint, nerve and muscle pain in necks, backs, knees, elbows, wrists and other joints. Referrals for medical or surgical procedures are made when indicated. Dr. Schonfeld offers a unique blend of education and caring which have provided relief of pain and suffering for thousands.
